How Does Mercedes-Benz ATTENTION ASSIST® Work?

Always at the forefront of innovation, ATTENTION ASSIST® is an industry-first feature from Mercedes-Benz. Using a detailed algorithm, it can sense when a Johns Creek driver’s actions indicate that they’re too tired to safely drive. Here’s how it works:

1. Within the first few minutes of your time on the road, ATTENTION ASSIST® assesses your personal driving style across 70 different parameters.
2. As you drive, the system can detect certain steering corrections that it knows to be indicative of the early signs of driver fatigue.
3. If driver fatigue is suspected, the system then accounts for several external factors including road conditions and crosswinds, in addition to how you’re interacting with the in-vehicle buttons, controls, and switches.
4. If after assessing all of these factors the system concludes you’re experiencing drowsiness, ATTENTION ASSIST® will suggest you take a break from the road for a bit.
