There are two different types of at-home charging: Level 1 and Level 2. Level 1 charging utilizes a standard household plug in conjunction with an accessory charging cable. 

A 110V circuit charges the vehicle at a rate of about 2-4 miles per hour. This is a very limited power output so we wouldn’t recommend regularly charging your vehicle in this way. With that said, Level 1 charging can be useful in a pinch.

A Mercedes-Benz wall box charger is a Level 2 charging station that you install at your home. It’s a much faster charger than the previous one, charging at a rate of 20-30 miles per hour using a 240V circuit.
